Frequently asked questions.
Where are you located?
The Prideaux Estate is located in the beautiful Sunshine Coast hinterland, just minutes from Buderim.
264 Wilson Road, Ilkley QLD 4554
How many hours do we get the venue for?
Your wedding is the only one taking place that day, so you'll have exclusive access to The Prideaux Estate from 10:00am to 6:00pm. There's plenty of time to relax, celebrate, and enjoy every part of your day without feeling rushed.
What are your policies on music and entertainment?
To protect our peaceful surroundings and comply with venue requirements, all music must be played through our in-house sound system. Live bands, DJs, acoustic performers, and other live entertainment aren't permitted.
Can we have a rehearsal at the estate?
Absolutely. We encourage every couple to have a rehearsal before the big day. Wherever possible, we'll schedule this for the day before your wedding, subject to availability.
What decorations are allowed?
Yes. You're welcome to style the chapel to reflect your vision. We simply ask that no permanent fixtures or alterations are made, and that all decorations are removed after your ceremony.
Do you allow confetti?
To help preserve the beauty of the estate, we only allow fresh flower petals outside the chapel. Paper confetti, rice, dried petals, and biodegradable confetti aren't permitted. A $250 cleaning fee may apply if these guidelines aren't followed.
Is there parking available for guests?
Yes. We have parking available for up to 35 vehicles for you and your guests. Please note that all vehicles must leave the estate at the end of your booking.
Can we tour the venue before booking?
Of course. The best way to experience The Prideaux Estate is to see it in person. You're welcome to book a private tour, explore the chapel and grounds, and chat with us about your plans.
How do we secure our wedding date?
Start by getting in touch to check availability and arrange a private tour. Once you're ready to book, a 25% deposit will secure your date.
Do you offer any wedding planning services?
While we don't provide full wedding planning, we're always happy to recommend experienced local planners and suppliers who know the venue well.
Are dogs allowed at the estate?
Yes. We love welcoming dogs to be part of your ceremony because we know they're family too. Please let us know in advance if your dog will be attending. All pets must remain on a lead and be supervised throughout their visit.
Do you have any preferred suppliers?
We do. We've put together a list of trusted local suppliers we've loved working with over the years on our suppliers page.
Do you offer accommodation onsite?
While we don't offer accommodation on-site, our neighbours, Sam and Marnie, have a beautiful two-bedroom, two-bathroom Airbnb just one minute from the estate. It's a popular choice for couples getting ready on the morning of their wedding. You can find all the details on our Accommodation page.
What happens if it rains?
Our beautiful white chapel provides a comfortable indoor ceremony space, so your ceremony can go ahead regardless of the weather. If rain arrives during your photo session, we'll also have umbrellas available to keep everyone comfortable.
